I've had that geranium for probably a decade or so, nearly lost more than once, but it's been able to recover from the brink of destruction. It was originally obtained as a summer blooming plant but I'd read geraniums (Pelegoium - sp) could overwinter so tried it and there she be!
I didn't know it's name until recently. I've had this habit of putting name tags in a bucket (there's a lot of them) in the garage over the years which I inadvertently spilled last fall and that plant's tag fell out right in front of me. I said thank you lord!
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.
