I'm not sure if this is the place for Hoya questions. Maybe we need a houseplant section? It seems like somewhat of a tropical plant to me.

My question is, how can you tell if a Hoya is getting ready to bloom. My hoya plant is throwing out all these weird stems that don't have leaves on them. Is it possible this is where the blooms start forming. I've taken a close-up picture of one of the stems I am referring to.
