Nice to meet you here, Beverly. There are awesome native MGs in Mexico, too.
I will try to add this one to the database soon, thanks for the idea and encouragement. Smiling

Thanks Joseph...and yes there are Ipomoeas everywhere here. Recently the people at "Plant ID" were trying to help me identify a volunteer seedling to my garden. Most agreed it was an Ipomoea and i decided not to grow it. *Blush* It was a hasty decision and i pulled it up but i wish i had grown it at least long enough to maybe determine a species. I have limited space in the garden that is dedicated to providing habitat for butterflies (plus bees and hummers) so the space i have is full of butterfly host plants and nectar plants. Usually i grow volunteers that show up in my garden because i have had some spectacular success. Right now i am growing a Lupine that volunteered to the garden and it is doing very well with just 3 true leaves so far. Next time i find an Ipomoea volunteer, i'll post the photo here as well. I'll look forward to seeing your seedling on the database. You can take photos to add as it grows (like people do with kids). I've been at ATP for a month now...i hope my attempt to quote you works out...if there is something weird at the beginning of this post it is just my attempt at doing a "quote" that didn't quite work. Rolling my eyes.
