Now, get some wood to make a frame for your sifter. You can staple the mesh to the frame with a staple gun and it will last for years. With a frame, it can be put over the bed and propped up at one end.

I've had a sifter like that 3ft. by 4ft. for many years, and have used it so much I had to replace the mesh.
