Welcome! to ATP, @marjoryha.

It would be good to know what huercheras you are planting and where, in general, you are gardening.

I am new at growing huecheras in that I don't have a large collection and have only been growing a few for about three years. Last year, I had to shade ALL of my sun tolerant huercheras to avoid leaf burn even tho' they were planted under my dogwood tree. All of my plants are supposed to be compatible with my heat zone.

As I learn more about the plants, I am beginning to think that sun tolerant is relative.
