L. regale album produces seed and can be grown from seed. If it were me, I would start as many seeds of each as I could, and let nature weed out the ones least suited to my garden. ie. if I grow from seed I have the benefit of genetic variation and can select the individual plants that grow best for me in my garden. I can pick the ones with traits I like best too, and refresh my stock if they decline from virus, simply by sowing more seed from my favourite regale.

If I had one particular plant (raised from seed) I thought was special and wanted identical plants, then I would scale it.

edit: That is despite regale being reportedly apomictic - I would still prefer to raise from seed because I don't believe it is 100% apomictic 100% of the time.
