Daylilies
I've planted several different OLs in the past, purchased from Lowes. Incredible flowers and surprisingly tough-- handled poor soil and drought with no problem. Mine got about 3-4' tall. Fragrance was amazing too. Not sure how they would look mixed in with daylilies but the foliage is different enough to be a nice contrast.
