You know, Carol, I was just in a totally different mind set there and then..totally salvias and other xerics......I'm sure that "Cape Fuchsia" was something I'd heard of, but don't recall ever thinking of them or seeing them. The first thing I thought of when I saw the "Maybe" "Passionata" was the hummers. I always had tons of stuff growing for them in SoCal and there's nothing much around here for them, so I've been busy planting and acquiring hummer plants. I've never grown lobelia tupa before either, never heard of it, but have a lot ready to set out for them now. A lot of the same plants I've always grown will grow here though people are not used to it and you seldom find them in nurseries...then there are the ones featured here that I've not paid attention to before. I keep saying that I don't really care for Rhodies or Azaleas, then I saw an Azalea today that blew my socks off....well, mainly because it's white and extremely fragrant....Azalea Fragrant Star...wow! I have other plants I need to buy first for the front border, but at some point I will have to have that azalea....and a few more phygelius...lol..
I could be wrong...
and.....
"maybe I should have kept my mouth shut....."
The Urge for Seeds is Strong in This One.....
