To clarify -- yes, "Music" is a hardneck. And also, Linda, I haven't had any problem growing the softneck types (well, I've only tried Western Rose and Polish White, which I believe were said to be hardier than some other varieties), and this year I'm trying a Creole type, Ajo Rojo, after reading Ken's recommendation about how long the Creoles will store. If they grow here in the UP I have to think they would grow in Indiana!
