Orchidgal: I stuck some Lion's Tail cuttings in my earthbox last fall and I checked this morning and they are about 8" tall. I love my earthbox. It has a water reservoir at the bottom so is great for cuttings where it's so easy to forget to water. I just stripped off the bottom leaves and stuck in in there. Good luck.
