i have a yard with part to full sun, a baby eastern wahoo tree is planted in the middle/side place, and all around it- lawn that was dug up is potting soil/soil/ empty space. this is where i'd like to plant roses. We aleady have roses some redrockets/teas that were plannted here long before when I came to live at the house not arounds the tree but around the house/fence . but imho they are older and possibly have diseases/ect.

Would planting rose bushes beside a tree be a bad idea if the tree is naturally a smaller understory tree easten wahoo gets about 20 feet high and wide. Would the wahoo hurt the roses or would the roses hurt the wahoo. would the wahoo shade out the roses

Are there any roses/varities that dont attract bees- nobuddy right now at our house has allergies but sense its a group home the risk is high because lots of people come in and out year by year ect.

i like red/scented and big, muiltipedaled varities
