My bad. My plant was labeled as 'Red Taiwan', not 'Taiwan Red' as listed above by Melanie. Funny, because I always seem to refer to it in the reverse. It does look like the exact same plant.

Doris, not sure what you mean by DARK red. The color is not exactly dark, as in having blackish undertones, but it is a very intense, vivid, emphatic red. I posted a couple pics HERE when I had some seed available.

By "chopping block" I didn't mean to infer I was getting rid of it, just that it needs cutting back so it can be a sturdier, more heavily branched plant. When the time comes, I'm sure I won't need all the cuttings! Maybe we could arrange a trade. Much will depend on whether or not I can convince it to produce seed pods during this flush of bloom.
