They never seemed to be dwarfs to me! I guess it depends on what other caladiums they are compared to. If you look under the photo of the Gingerlands as a border on the right of the screen, there's an article about caladiums. There are more photos and a little about planting them. The last two photos are Gingerland and Miss Muffet. Both are planted in the same size containers. The Gingerland caladiums are taller than Miss Muffet.
The Gingerland border in that photo was in sun most of the day, but I do have oak trees that help.
