Can't say I blame you there, bears aren't my favorite animal to have around. We have very persistent Raccoons, so I have to bring my feeders in at night and as I live right next to the forest I know the bears are always close by.

At first I thought the bird on the left was a Female Purple Finch then I thought it was Female Redpoll as there is a hint of red on head or maybe it is an immature Male Purple Finch. Picture taken May 26, 2010 and Female Rose Breasted Grossbeak on right had probably just showed up for the first time for the season.

Ruffed Grouse commonly referred to as Birch Partridge, normally feeds on ground under feeder. State bird of Pennsylvania.

This flying squirrel is also another night time visitor when I don't bring feeders in until after dark. He is very easy to approach and is not bothered by flash.
