At first glance I thought apple or pear, but when I look better I don't think it is.

I'm not at all familiar with the plants you might have up there.
I'd certainly say it's a tree or shrub.
The white specks just look like sand from here, all I see is irregular dots, no legs or heads, some bug eggs look similar but they'd be organized and all the same shape, or perhaps on a stalk, which I don't see.
