I was visiting my local Ag department trying to find out how much it would cost me to mail a lily bulb out of state. ($45.00 for paper work) While I was there, the inspector asked me if I wanted several bulbs that he got from a company. At Smith River, Calif (about 75 miles from my home) there is a bulb company that grow bulbs for sale as wholesalers. The two that I was given are Red Ace (which bloomed) and another red Royal Paradise. Red Ace is nothing great but I was told they crossed it with a easter lily.(LA) They grow fields and fields of these, let them bloom, then cut the flower off and let the bulbs grow. We have Sun Valley Florist here in Arcata, but this is another company.(Sorry didn't write down the name) Here are photos of Red Ace
