They are one of my favorite plants, they're being displaced rapidly by invasive species.
They're tough, reliable, spread at a reasonable rate, also edible and medicinal... Birds love the fruit.
When you walk through a patch, or just rub a leaf or stem, they smell wonderfully of citrus!
You can even rub yourself down with the leaves as a temporary bug repellant.
I'm sure if I did some real research I'd learn many more uses too.
I'm in the process of digging quite a few to spread around in hopes of establishing a few small stands of them.
