Shady - know what you mean about various insects loving the GH. Wasps seem to love making a nest in mine. As for bloodsuckers, you could try a mosquito trap if you don't want to spray. The "trap" is basically a container of water like a bucket or bowl with some bti mosquito dunks (or granules) added to it. The female mosquitoes are attracted to the water for breeding purposes and they do lay eggs in the water but the bti keeps the babies from developing. You won't see immediate relief but you might see a reduction in the number of mosquitoes over time.
