You should hope for a leaf, not a flower, it won't be a flower this late unless that bulb was stored in a fridge.
They rest after blooming, around 4 months, soooo if it's a bloom now, you've already lost an entire growing season, aannndddd if it does make a leaf after that rest it's really not good, you'll be left with a plant that depletes all its energy in that growth and can't replace it...

It'll be a leaf, and as they emerge they are equally as strange as the bloom, more so in my eyes... Just wait for the "evil fingers of death" stage, as I call it!
