It has a very deep purple stalk, with branches in whorls, or prongs, similar to the way ginseng does, but it doesn't terminate at the first whorl.
I tried to capture what I assume are seed heads in one pic.
Sorry the light and pics in general are so dark, it was very thick canopy overhead.
