Unless you have your sprayers license, you can't spray it, crossbow will kill it with repeated treatment...
One that size, you can use a shovel and get it out.
You need to dig up a rather large area, to keep roots intact, then try to shake the soil loose so you don't lose it, and so the plant dies, it can reroot on the ground or in the compost heap with ease! I clean the soil off and hand them from tree branches! If you dig too close you'll break the roots up! And of course tiny pieces of root will re sprout from the spot next season...
You could dig it, have a lovely sense of satisfaction until a year or 2 down the road when you look over and the are is covered in the stuff!
They are seriously bad news!
They'll grip tight to trees and take on a different leaf form, and plant habit and structure, they bloom once the get in the air, if nothing's around to go up, they'll form a mat of vines and evergreen leaves than literally be 2-3' deep, it's scary to walk thru and near impossible to run in!
