I have to admit that I'm not a peony expert, but I do know that the rockii peonies all have purple blotches in the center, which is not true of P. x suffruticosa. I also know that the name "Joseph Rock" has been misapplied to other peonies by nurseries, but Paul's photos look authentic to me. That's why I think they're in the right place. More to the point, why do you think they're in the wrong place, and where would you put them?
