Celebrating Gardening: 2015
was just wandering the same thing Joe. Magnolias are beautiful though....... the actual trees that survive here get to be so big though........but lovely in bloom. The tulip tree belongs to that family but leafs first and then flowers. and by the looks of it this morning, hard to tell a leaf pod from a flower pod.......... so just wait and see I guess. the tree is taking forever this year to leaf out...... Last year it was the first to start to leaf and this year the last.........

All the big bushes are loaded around here with fruits and flowers this wife. Hope that is an old wives tale that we get a bad winter with that....... 2 in row is not good already. A lot of the fruit trees were killed off with the late frosts and heavy winter this past year..

I have some tree peony that just finished and the other peony are about to open. That is how I found out about plant reversion. One half of them are reverted to the old color from years ago.........will take a pic once they all start blooming. the reverted flower is very nice.... It says like the color or dig up the plant on the new reversed ones.

I wish the peony and lilies had longer blooming time........
