I had a bad bout with this stuff last year!
I'd hoped to not see it again, but I found what looks like an affected plant yesterday, looks worse today.

Treatment with professional grade chems is out of my budget, I may be able to have someone donate a small amount, but I'm not what will be offered or what is actually effective.

I know it can be effectively treated with hydrogen peroxide, that's what I'd prefer, but there's other treatments as well, I know some people use pool sanitation chems to treat it...
I can't find mix rates online... For either of these methods...

I know Pythium is everywhere, I live literally on the creek, so I have to live with it, they only time it's an issue is around this time of the year, nights stay cool, days hot, and I water a lot. We also just had a very rainy spell, the temps here had hit 90 the week before, and it was dry, then a week of rain with daytime highs teaching 57-65 degrees, and literally no direct sun for 6 days... This did not help!
If I kept things dryer it wouldn't happen but plants would slow way down...my elephant ears aren't in full swing so they have trouble resisting it.
Once they size up, and summer sets in, it's never a problem.
This only happens to my plants in pots, never the ones in ground, the microbiology of my soil medium is off, and the Pythium thrives, is real soil, that's healthy, this wouldn't happen but I'm forced to keep many of these plants in pots as I garden way out of zone...

Last year I spent a lot of time reading on Pythium, I know there are vast amounts of info online, but as always, talking directly to people with experience is much preferred and in my experience, more successful!
Any advice is welcome, even expensive chems, but realistically, the treatment I use will need to very inexpensive.

Thank you
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!
