Thanks for the kind comments. I don't have any rules. I plant for immediate effect. Some areas are getting crowded and I will need to move some in the next year or two. I have some rocks among the Hostas but they make it difficult to rake the leaves in the fall. My planting areas are FULL and I'm not going to dig out any more lawn so I have put some in containers this spring. If you go back to last year in the threads there are more shots of my garden and also my friends garden........give them a look.
