@MHIGDON I believe by spent, he means no longer blooming or "dead."
If you want to ask a question of a particular member and make sure they receive the message you can hit the @ key and the person's name at the beginning of your message. It will alert that person that you're asking him a question or responding to his question. Hope that helps.
