We tried traps the first year we had them. I think we got one mole. But they were hard to use. Since moles do not do much if any plant damage we leave them alone now. But our dog is a terrier mix with hunting in his genetic makeup. So he goes after any rodent that enters his area. He has gotten 2 chipmunks, 1 shrew & 1vole over the last 4 years.

I worry much more about voles and the damage they can do.
