That might help if we could water more. We've cut back 50% from last year (CA, drought, and yes, we were probably over-watering in some places) and the lawn/weed mix is brown in places (and gopher-tilled in others).

I do have to wonder though, with the brown sugar and soda and such, wouldn't that feed not just the lawn, but also the ants? We've got enough problems with ants as it is...
