I crowded mine and they all are growing like mad. Here's one photo. This doesn't show the purple ones on the other side. The top few inches of soil had a lot of grit in it but deeper down ito more moisture holding soil. This also worked well for my ice plants last year. I'm also growing sedums in the pot with them and they look good too. This plant is probably about 3 feet across.
