Oh poo on the visitor who doesn't care for narrow paths. I am with you! I love a garden where the plants are just cheek by jowl and all over the place. My spouse is the same as your visitor...he can't stand any plant so much as brushing him when he walks through the garden. Last year, he hacked the lower branches off a lovely mimosa at the base of our deck steps because he claimed he "couldn't get through there"....the branches were barely brushing the top of his head. *shakes head* Ah well. To each his own.
