It's not Flash that's going anywhere; it the the system that supports plug-ins like flash that is being phased out.
I found a few links that explain what is going on. Something called NPAPI is being phased out and replaced by something called PPAPI. This is all happening behind the scenes inside our computer updates.
There is no way my feeble brain can comprehend this stuff; it's enough to know that our Dave is on top of things and...well, computers; it's what he does!
