I eat the dried fruits & to me they are sweet - a bit of a gritty feeling but not much ~~~ the sweet seems to get stronger after you've chewed it a bit. Just my opinion or taste buds but the type of sweet isn't like sugar it's more like a stevia kind of sweetness. I have never had fresh ones & can't wait to try them. I also use the dried ones in snack bars along with other fruit & nuts. Next time I make a coffee cake I'm going to throw some in along with the dried apricots & raisins.
I was Googling last night & saw seeds for sale.
