Dear Jan, it is always a pleasure to take some decent photos and share them! Most people have never heard of this beautiful place, that is apart from the cafe and shop totally free!
How wonderful to be able to walk around the Museum & Gardens and use their facilities for research if you so wish! Free of charge again I hasten to add, we are indeed very lucky!
I think the environmental issues that the school children are taught is a way forward, in fact the only way if Humans have any hope of survival at all.
For to see a Tiger that is now extinct is to me a heart rendering moment, and indeed makes the children and myself ask why?
I am going to the Chelsea Flower Show on Thursday and am growing (no pun intended), most concerned! For they have broken a record with 100,000+ different plant species in one place, including your beloved Orchids! Don't worry Jan you will be shocked as I have only 35,000 photos to take that my batteries will allow. But you will not be forgotten!
I watched the TV guide to Chelsea last night and despite the press claims because of the financial crisis, it is stunning, as usual. That is why it is simply the best in the world!
Then there is Hampton Court Flower Show and many others! Plus as William Conqueror in 1066 built 1000 Castles alone, then some of the over untold numbers that were built since. Including Arundel that was built in 1931!
So I am hoping I can find a Castle Cherie likes.
Then there is my cooking to do, which I have not done as I cannot eat anything and am off to the Hospital today!
Kindest Regards.
Neil.
p.s. one of Sarah's Foxgloves, they are a weed here!
