Hi Linda,

I'm originally from Central Florida and never had much luck with hostas down there. Even the ones that were said to grow there died after a year or two. That being said, I was in Orlando. If your "Central Florida" is as north as Gainesville I think there might be a blue or two you could grow. Check with your local Ag Agent or the University of Florida. They are the University ag studies/Master Gardener programs are associated with in Florida.
