Whip City is a nickname for Westfield, MA which is where the hybridizer, Lori Jones, has Knoll Cottage Daylilies. I acquired Whip City Dapper Dan and Whip City Carnie and both have scapes. It shouldn't be too long before I see Carnie's blooms. There is a series of 'Whip City' daylilies. There is also a series of 'Big Honking', but I don't know where that name originated though I posted a photo of Big Honking Brazen Hussy this week. I think there are a couple of daylily intros beginning with 'Knoll Cottage' as well. Just to add info to your post
