I have a question about something that is becoming more confusing to me as time goes on, I printed out the gardening calendar for my zone, which has fall planting guidelines for sowing seeds indoors and direct sowing. I bought some seeds from Heirloom Seed Company based on the calendar for fall which had the different dates on when to start. So for instance, Spinach on my ATP calendar says to sow Aug 11- Sept 25. But on the packet it says sow 6-8 weeks before the last spring frost. Now this may be where my confusion is once I got all these supposedly fall crop seeds. Because my frost free growing area starts March 26 and ends Nov 24. But if I am planting my spinach according to guidelines I should plant in January. I was under the impression that spinach was a fall crop, a lot of the seeds I have bought are the same. Being a new gardener, this will be my first garden, i am very confused, am I looking at the wrong dates? Can someone please direct me where I can get some advise on what is going on?

Any help would be great on this.
I am in Sanderson Florida 32087 which is zone 8 if that helps.
