Jim, I'm inclined to think that first one might be a moth of some kind. I just love those Commas and Question Marks. Such an unusual blend of colors on them. Wish we had more of them down here! And more types of Fritillaries! But then I'd have to learn how to identify them all and there are a lot of them that look very similar.
