Daylilies can be very thirsty while they are in bloom, too. So if the weather gets hot, keep an eye on the foliage for signs of distress.

As long as they're opening flowers, it's pretty hard to over-water them providing they have good drainage.

Once the flowers are finished, they like a bit of a dormant period so that is a good time to let them dry a bit between waterings.
