I posted a link on the Cacti/Succulent Forum about this so hopefully members who grow Euphorbia or are more familiar with them will be able to help. It looks most like Medusa's Head (Euphorbia flanaganii) to me but I'm not at all knowledgeable abour Euphorbia.

For comparison, there area also photos in the database for Euphorbia (Euphorbia woodii)
