Plant Step Users -- can you tell me what I'm doing wrong with creating crosses?
I've pollinated a bunch of my flowers and I've recorded the dates, by hand, of each cross. Now, I'm trying to input all of that data into the Plant Step program and I'm having trouble. I think the issue might somehow be related to not creating a new cabinet, but I'm not certain of that.
Here's what I've tried:
1) First, I tried going to the "Pollination Cross Planning" tab, clicked "add," and put in the pod parent and pollen parent directly. I put in the pollination date and selected "pollinated" in the "status" drop-down menu. As I did this, it added the information to the grid. When I clicked on "save," the information deleted itself from the grid.
Then, I did the following:
2) I clicked on the "Hybridize Matcher" tab, selected the pod parent, pollen parent, then clicked on "Create 1 Pollination Cross" (I left the radio button File Cabinet "Main" selected.) This let me to the grid with the information put in, but, again, when I hit "save", it disappeared.
Is it possible that it's creating these crosses and tucking them away somewhere I can't see?
