Stan - Yes! That is true. But to really achieve that feat, you have to grow them in optimum conditions ... which I don't. Some of the Florida commercial hybridizers easily get blooms in their first year as a seedling. I may only get a few. Usually their second year here is a fun show to see what each seedling produces. And I have actually had some that did not bloom until their 3rd year even here in our mild climate. Stubborn babies!!!!
