I can honestly say that was a concern for me too. My granddaughters immediately noticed the paper clips when they were last visiting. But not to worry though .... the rat took not only the paper clips but many of my seed pods, too .... and ATE many of them.
Yeah. Sometimes the unexpected happens. Good to have a sense of humor.
