Yes, I did mix in quite a lot of perlite!
It is hard to buy perlite over here, most have never heard of it.
I had to order it online and it wasn't cheap..
That's why I asked about recycling it
But you're right: better start with fresh bags and perlite to avoid diseases and fungi
