I typically get prolifs after my daylilies have bloomed. I will go to cut the scape and there will be a prolif growing on that spent scape. I typically wait until it develops roots before removing it by cutting the scape about an inch below the prolif and an inch or two above the prolif. I just plant them and let them grow like I would any small starter plant. Or you can share them with a friend! Smiling
