In addition, we actually have a databox field for conservation status. Go to the plant in question and click on "Edit data details." Then scroll to the very bottom and you'll see "Convervation Status".

Check off the appropriate one and submit the proposal and once approved, it'll have the nice snazzy conversation status box shown on the plant.
