I live surrounded by some Michigan farm country (corn, soybeans, etc.) but a neighbor has around 12 acres of land that he is letting grow wild. It borders my property on two sides. With the help of a conservation officer (or the like, not sure) they tilled and seeded the land with a native wildflower and grass seed mix a couple years ago. They ran out of seed partway through though. Not a whole lot of wildflowers have appeared yet.

Not really the best timing since it is way past peak bloom and it has been very dry for at least a couple of weeks, but thought I'd take a walk through the field and see what I could find:
