If you have any idea where it was, you can lift up the shrub branches and try to locate it, dig it up and replant it someplace safe from being invaded by any shrub or perennial. Do it in the cool of the day so the heat won't find you giving up on the search. I've had some return after being dormant so long I was 100% sure they must be dead.
