There are so many kinds of hoes already, you should be able to find examples of almost ANYthing, then decide which ones are appealing.

Or do you have enough raw materials that you can experiment and see which styles you like for each kind of weeding task. I think each kind of weeding would work best with a different kind of hoe.

Sometimes Dave hoes with a shovel!

Usually I like either a scuffle hoe or a mattock, depending on whether I'm trying to finesse around desirable plants or just uprooting a bush.

This style interests me, but I never tried it:
