It does have lots of blooms at a time so is beautiful in a large clump but no trouble opening for me that I noticed. But then again, I am all over the garden and since I am not heavily into daylilies anymore, I don't take too much notice other than looking for pretty bloom shots.
All I know is that I have been enjoying this daylily for years and for me, it's a keeper.
