I received three fans this year and planted them this spring. I live in Houston. Because they were little, I've had no blooms yet. Two are still hanging in there. With the last couple weeks near or over 100 degrees, one has all but disappeared. I think with our summer heat, I would have done better to plant in the fall and not early summer. I water most everyday, but new plants really struggle with our heat here and these are in mostly sun.
I can't wait for this to bloom -hopefully next year. I love the classic ruffled daylily and am looking forward to blooms next year so I can see the flowers in person.
